What Do You Need to Know About
Homes in Virginia and Washington, D.C.?

Summary:
Whether you're a buyer or seller, you need to understand the housing market in order to make intelligent choices that are right for you.  We have quite a variety of homes here in the Washington, D.C. area with style, size, age, condition, and location having an enormous impact on price.  You need a qualified Realtor® like me to help you understand the market, navigate the housing maze, and help you acheive your goals.

Detail:
The metropolitan D.C. area is a large and varied place, especially when it comes to the housing market.  One neighborhood is not like the other, one house is not like the other.  You need to understand what you're looking at whether you're buying, selling, or simultaneously selling & buying in order to ensure that you've made well-informed decisions to achieve your goals.

You may want to start by looking at my current listings or those of my office colleagues.  You may want to see what listings of mine have sold recently.  If none of those work for you, use my public portal into the northern Virginia/Washington, D.C./Maryland MLS to see ALL the homes offered by ALL the real estate brokerages in real time; no other website can show you more up-to-date information.  After seeing these properties, you may decide you'd like to visit a few open houses -- so use my open house search function to find something that's open this weekend that meets your needs.

You may find that after looking at all these listings, you are drawn toward certain architectural styles.  Washington, D.C. and areas inside the Beltway are dominated by colonial, federal, and victorian style homes, so if that's not for you, neighborhoods outside the Beltway may be where you need to focus your search.  Likewise, new and newer homes are much more common outside the Beltway.

The information can be overwhelming to buyers and sellers.  That's why you're often better served by hiring a home consultant like me to help you achieve your goals.  Let me know how I can help!
